GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD (Psalm 66:1-20)

Is easier to give thanks when everythings are going  so well in our life. We are in good condition/situasion. But the question is..how about if we are in a bad situation, in difficulties, hardship, many prblems and hinderence comes in our way..do we still give thank to the lord…?do we still stand firm in our faith when we are in the midst of Storm, do we still love Him no matter what happens in our life..??

I realize that maybe there are many reasons in our life that make us sometimes it’s difficult and can not do give thanks, but I want to tell you that there are more many reasons that we have to give thanks every single day. (we give thanks for, brethe, healthy, have home for stay, food for eat, job for lives, freedom to worship and praise God.)

If we try think of people that are without a job,people caught in war persecution because of their faith in the lord, like what’s happen in our country a lot of presecution, many people died because their faith, many churches was burned, in some places there is not freedom to praise and worship God even have fellowship every Sunday in our church. Thouse who do not have food, suffering from deseases, spiritual, emsotional, pchisical, and mental bondage.And many other inhuman condition.Im sure we can say with confidence we are truly  blessed.

Why do we should give thanks to the Lord...???

1.      For who He is (2-4)

He is God, creator, King all of kings, comforter, our shelter, our tower of refuge, his rightouesness, his love anderuce forever, compassionate.

2.      For what He has done in this earth (5-7)

Everthing were created by God for mankind. God establish, manage, organize, provide the everythings so beatifull and perfect, so that the mankind can live so well in this earth. He Gives rain, sunrise, snow. Night and day, beatufull sky, mountins, and many things else. And everything were created for a porpuse.

3.      Because of the salvation that He has given trough Jesus Christ (8-12)

God saving us form the kingdom of darkness and translating us into the his kingdom. When we believe and receive Him as our savior in our life, we have internal life, become sons and daughters of God. He forgives us from our sin when we confess, He gives us holy spirit as sign of our in heritance.

When do we should give thanks to the Lord...??

In  Fisrt thessalonians 5:18 says: Give thanks in all circumtanses for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. We give thank to the lord in good time and bad time. We give thanks for answered our prayer and also we should give thanks for unansweard prayer as well. We give thanks in the sense that we realize God is sovereign and that where He does not rule, He overrules. We can give thanks in all things, not necessarily for all things.
Remember, for the child of God, Romans 8:28 is still true. No matter what happens, God is working all things together for our good and His glory.

How do we should give thanks to the Lord..??

There are three ways how do we give thanks to the Lords:

1.      Through praise and worship ( 2)

We were created for praise and worship Him. God wants us to praise Him with all our heart, soul, and strength. It’s just not about song that we sing, music that we playing, the way of praise and worship that we have, but it’s all about our heart and our desire in Him. God looking the things  inside of our heart.

2.      Through offering our life as a living sacrifice (13-15)

Romans 12:1 says : therefore, I urge you brother in views of God mercy to offer your bodies as living sacrifice, holy, and pleasing God, this is your spiritual of worship.

3.      Through proclamation of his name ( 16)

We should have to tell many people about what God has done in our life, tell the good news to many people about the salvation that god has given us.
